Symptoms

  • Fever (>39°C)
  • Loss of appetite
  • Swelling under the jaw
  • Purulent nasal discharge
  • Abscesses that burst open

Isolation

Place the suspected horse in quarantine immediately. Separate care, separate equipment, strict hygiene. Screen other horses.
